Where’s The Wind, City?

I spent all of the 4th of July in a roof-top pool. It was too hot to do anything else here in Chicago. Today is just as hot, but I had to venture out and see what the city had to offer, besides ways to cool off.

Urbexing Gary Indiana

Today was my first foray into urbex. I’ve always enjoyed this style of photography (ever since me and my dad broke into a bank (long story) on one of my first road-trips), I just never knew it had an official name. I think the resulting photos are pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself! What do you think?

Lansing

Another state, another state capitol building for your dome-viewing pleasure.

“Meet Innovation, Money”

The RV Museum and Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana. It’s how we roll baby. Er rather, how we used to roll.

A Sad State of Affairs

I had heard stories of Detroit, but I needed to see it with my own eyes to see if it really was as bad as people said it was. I am here to tell you that it is. It’s very bad. Very very bad. Parts of this city seem more dilapidated than some 3rd-world countries I’ve been to. You can’t even walk into a pizza joint for 20 minutes without having your license place snatched off the back of your ride. Who DOES that!?!? There IS one silver lining in the city, and that is Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Machines.
